Cheese ingredients included in certain HelloFresh meal kits have been recalled due to possible contamination , the Canadian Food Inspection Agency said Tuesday. The food recall warning was triggered by the company possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, but there have been no reported illnesses linked to the products. “Do not consume, use, sell, serve or distribute recalled products,” the recall said. The agency added that consumers should throw out any affected items or return them to the place of purchase. The affected products include: Food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled but can still cause illness. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, older adults and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk. In severe cases, the infection can lead to serious complications or death. The CFIA said it is conducting a food safety investigation and verifying that recalled products are being removed from the marketplace.
