Woman seriously injured following assault near Lions Park CTrain station

Calgary police are looking for five suspects believed to have been involved in an attack on a woman near the Lions Park LRT.

At 5:52 p.m., police say a man found a woman suffering from serious injuries on the platform and called 911.

The victim was taken to hospital in serious condition.

The Calgary Police Service (CPS) say the woman was likely attacked with a weapon earlier at about 1:30 p.m. in a grassy area just south of the LRT platform.

Through an examination of CCTV footage, police believe a group of individuals – one man and four women – were involved in the assault.

CPS are now looking for public help to identify them.
