The Women in Need Society (WINS) has inked a two-year partnership with ATCO that will see the non-profit receive more than $120,000 in benefits from the energy company. As part of the deal, all seen WINS locations will use ATCO energy in exchange for a partner discount. The two organizations have worked together for years and wanted to take another step forward. The president of WINS estimates the savings will let the organization help 500 more people a month. “This is a really hard time to live in our city,” said Karen Ramchuk. “Rising costs are causing people to really go to places for help and support that they never needed to visit before.” As part of the partnership, WINS International Women’s Day event will be held at ATCO’s sister company, Blue Flame Kitchen.
