A ridge of high pressure will build into Calgary while we are sleeping. That means we will wake up to sunshine on Friday, and temperatures will be warmer. Expect to get back to the mid-20s by the afternoon. You will likely see some cloudy periods around the supper hours. We should get stable weather from Friday morning until late in the afternoon on Sunday. By 4 p.m. on Sunday, we are back into a good chance of showers and the risk of thunderstorms. The cool, rainy weather will return on Monday. We are in the peak of storm season. During our 6 p.m. newscast on Wednesday, I was tracking a big storm on the radar near Drumheller. Here is what it looked like on the radar: Matt Melnyk took an amazing photo to show us what it looked like from the ground. What an amazing shot!
