Vote Bus launches to collect ballots for Calgary’s election

Decided voters in Calgary’s election this month will have an easy way to cast early ballots next week.

Starting Oct. 6, Elections Calgary is sending out the Vote Bus, a mobile advance voting station.

No matter where they live, Calgarians can board the bus and cast their ballot.

The first stop for the Vote Bus will be the Dream Centre, 4510 Macleod Tr. S.W.

Voters can access the station between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Later that day, the bus will then head to the Chinook LRT station for 3:15 to 6:15 p.m.

The remaining schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, Oct. 7

• Westbrook LRT station, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• 69 Street LRT station, 3:15 to 6:15 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 8

• Southland LRT station, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Somerset-Bridlewood LRT station, 3:15 to 6:15 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 9

• North Pointe bus terminal, 7 to 9:30 a.m.
• Cornerstone Boulevard at Country Hills Boulevard N.E., 11:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 10

• SAIT/AUArts/Jubilee LRT station, 7 to 9:30 a.m.
• Sage Hill Gate at 37 Street N.W., 11:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Saturday Oct. 11

• McMahon Stadium, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Calgary’s municipal election is on Oct. 20.
