Theatre Calgary adds 1 final performance of Come From Away

Theatre Calgary has added one more encore performance of Come From Away.

The wildly-popular musical was already extended for an extra week of performances between June 21 and June 27, but due to overwhelming ticket demand, the theatre company added one final additional performance.

“Calgary, you’ve been filling the seats for Come From Away so fast that we’re adding one final performance,“ Theatre Calgary posted on social media. ”This is the last show we can add, and we won’t be extending the run again. So if you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it: one more chance to see the story of Gander, Newfoundland, live at Theatre Calgary before it closes."

Third-party tickets

Theatre Calgary has also posted on social media warning ticket buyers about third-party ticket resellers who are charging wildly inflated prices for tickets.

"Theatre Calgary is not affiliated with these sellers and cannot guarantee the validity of tickets purchased outside of our official website or box office.

“To ensure you receive authentic tickets at the best available price, we strongly encourage you to purchase directly through Theatre Calgary. While some performances may be sold out, tickets are still available for many dates.”

A spokesperson said Come From Away looks to be the theatre company’s best selling show apart from A Christmas Carol in the past 10 years.
