Taber corn arrives in stores across Alberta as heat wave produces bumper crop

Taber sweet corn is now available across the province.

A sweet southern Alberta staple is now on sale.

Taber corn has hit the stands in southern Alberta.

Johnson Fresh Farms started selling the peaches-and-cream cobs Wednesday, with stands in the Edmonton area set to open Thursday.

Calgary will be able to get their share of corn starting Friday.

Despite the wet start to the season, Johnson Fresh Farms says the recent heat has been ideal for growing conditions.
