River surfing class for beginners to take place Sunday at Harvie Passage

There will be an introductory river surfing class Sunday at Harvie Passage in Calgary

Calgarians who have always wanted to try surfing have a chance.

On Sunday, the Alberta River Surfing Association is running an introductory class for those with little to no experience.

It will take place at Harvie Passage.

The group also offers lessons on the Kananaskis River.

Courses are led by experienced instructors and focus on safety, technique and building confidence in moving water.
