Authorities are investigating a possible drowning Sunday afternoon in southeast Calgary. Police responded to the 200 block of Legacy Blvd S.E. around 1:20 p.m. EMS say they responded to a pond along Legacy Main Street S.E. for reports that a child had been pulled from the water. “Paramedics determined the patient was in critical and life-threatening condition,” an EMS spokesperson said in an email. “STARS was also requested to attend. Ultimately, no patient was transported from this incident and EMS left the scene in care of CPS (Calgary Police Service).” Police say traffic delays are expected and ask motorists to avoid the area.
