The winner of a $36M Lotto 6-49 draw is a born and raised Calgarian. The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) is waiting until next week to release the winner’s name, but says they specifically requested to celebrate their win in their hometown near family and friends. The new millionaire won the money on the Oct. 15 Lotto 6-49 gold ball. The WCLC says the person runs a business near Hinton, Alta., which is where they purchased their ticket. Their identity will be unveiled Tuesday at 11 a.m.
