A man has received life-threatening injuries in a crash in a busy retail area in southeast Calgary. Police say they were called to 130 Avenue S.E., just east of Deerfoot Trail, at about 4:30 p.m., for a motorcycle that had struck a median. Police say the rider suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital. Eastbound 130 Avenue was closed while the CPS Traffic Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated. Investigators blocked off the scene and closely examined a Harley-Davidson motorcycle near the median.
