A confirmed case of measles at the Calgary International Airport has prompted a warning from Alberta Health Services. The provincial health organization says someone confirmed to have measles was at the airport’s domestic terminal at Gate C50 while infectious on July 17, before boarding a flight to Vancouver. The infected person then attended the Vancouver International Airport on July 19 to fly back to Calgary. AHS issued a public alert on Friday with the following information: Calgary International Airport July 17 Flight Calgary International Airport July 19 Flight Anyone who attended the above locations during the listed times, was born in or after 1970 and has less than two documented doses of measles-containing vaccine may be at risk for developing measles. AHS is asking those impacted to self-monitor their systems and review their immunization records. “Measles is an extremely contagious disease and the virus spreads easily through the air,” AHS warned.
