A Calgary man is facing charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman he met on a dating app. Police say the pair connected on Tinder in October 2025 and arranged to meet in person for a date. The victim went to the man’s home in southeast Calgary at 5 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2025. “During the victim’s time at the residence, the man allegedly sexually assaulted her and took photos of her without her permission,” police said in a Wednesday news release. Officers searched the man’s home on Tuesday. Spencer Maximus Andrews, 23, is charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of voyeurism. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 19. “Before engaging in any sexual activity, consent must be given by both parties. Consent means agreeing to each sexual encounter, including kissing, touching or intercourse,” police said. “Sexual contact is never acceptable without clear, voluntary and specific consent. People are free to change their mind at any time, and any sexual activity must stop immediately once consent is withdrawn.” In Canada, there is no time limit on reporting a sexual assault.
