A Calgarian who won $1 million on Lotto 6-49 says she’s still coming to terms with her big win. Angela Koskey purchased her ticket at the Circle K on Edgedale Drive N.W. and won by matching the gold ball draw on Dec. 31. “We always check [our tickets] on Sundays,” Koskey explained. “I was holding the tickets and my husband was scanning them. We were shuffling through them, and then boom – my husband said, ‘You won’t believe this!’” “I was stunned and a bit numb,” Koskey added. She says she and her husband are hoping to use their windfall to get a summer cabin. “It will be nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city without making a reservation somewhere,” she said.
