The Calgary Fire Department doused a grass fire in the city on Tuesday evening. CFD received the call around 7:30 p.m., for flames southeast of the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, close to a walking path near a train bridge. Water from the river was used in the effort to put out the fire. At one point, the fire was approximately 100 metres in length.
