The weather is changing fast! The temperature is plummeting, and the wind has picked up. We are quickly going from summer weather to wintry driving conditions. People visiting family and friends will have to contend with slushy and icy spots on the roads. And with the wind gusting up to 60 km/h while snow falls Saturday afternoon, it will reduce visibility. Saturday will be cold, cloudy and gusty in the morning, and the light snow will start in the afternoon. It will be on/off snow until late Sunday, and with only a high of 3 C. Quite a departure from the 20-degree high on Friday! Calgary can expect two to four centimetres of snow from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening. The system will make its way out of the city late Sunday, so Monday conditions will begin to improve. The sunshine will return, and we will slowly climb to 9 C. Before we get this messy, cold blast of winter, let’s enjoy the beautiful weather we had this week. This lovely photo is courtesy of our own Tara Nelson: Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
