Some young Albertans got a chance to train with the best of the best under the big top Friday. More than two dozen elite youth gymnasts got the chance to train with Cirque du Soleil artists and performers from the show Echo. The session gave the teenage athletes a chance to learn from some of the best in the world. “Yeah, it’s like super super cool, seeing where my gymnastics career can lead and seeing how people can move their bodies in a way that’s kind of a little bit less strict than what we have to do in gymnastics,” said Majken Holmgren-Zunti. “And yeah, it’s super super cool to be here today.” Cirque du Soleil’s Echo continues at Stampede Park until Oct. 19.
