The risk of wildfire is on the rise in Alberta amid the hot weather this September. The province has increased the wildfire danger in the Calgary forest area to very high. Warm, dry and gusty conditions are contributing to the elevated risk, along with a lack of rain in the forecast. Fire advisories and restrictions are in place for a portion of the forest area.
