A Cochrane woman has been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in the town. The investigation culminated with the search of a home in the community of Heritage Hills on Wednesday. During the search, police seized an undisclosed quantity of cocaine and two guns – including a prohibited .22 calibre rifle. The accused, 42, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and three weapons-related offences. She is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 23. “Our officers will continue to investigate and disrupt drug trafficking in the town of Cochrane,” said Insp. Dave Brunner in a Friday news release. “These efforts are crucial to keeping illegal firearms and drugs out of our community.”
