Calgary police have charged a man with indignity to a human body after a 21-year-old woman was found dead northwest of the city this summer. Officers were called to the village of Cremona, about 80 kilometres outside of Calgary, on July 29 after the body was discovered. Following an autopsy, the woman was identified as Shakira Bearspaw of Calgary. Police say the investigation into her cause of death “remains ongoing.” Police arrested Spencer Stolk, 37, in the 500 block of 40 Avenue N.W. on Tuesday. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. Anyone with information on Bearspaw’s death is asked to call police at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
