Canmore man can’t believe it when his app tells him he won $100K in Extra draw

Canmore resident Alex Brunet won $100,000 in the Extra draw.

After Canmore resident Alex Brunet scanned an Extra! ticket that said he had won $100,000, his first reaction was to scan it again on the Lotto Spot app.

“I just rescanned it to be sure of what I was seeing,” Brunet said.

“I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I thought, ‘Can this be real?’”

When he was finally convinced that he had a winner, he shared the news with his wife and they had a little celebration.

“Right now, my main priority is to enjoy this with the family,” Brunet said. “I just feel super grateful!”

Brunet’s bought his winning Lotto 6/49 and Extra ticket from the 7-Eleven at 1729A Mountain Avenue in Canmore.

He won by matching the last six digits of the Feb. 14 Extra draw: 3032424.
