Are you ready for the big weather shift? It will start to kick in late Friday. On Friday morning, the clouds will increase. By 4 p.m., showers will likely start in Calgary. In the evening, it will switch to a rain/snow mix. The high of 19 degrees will quickly fall in the afternoon, so wear layers. On Friday night, one centimetre of snow is likely. Saturday will have on/off snow (two to four centimetres). It will carry into Sunday morning and taper off in the afternoon. This will lead to some slushy spots on the roads. Then, overnight, it will freeze, creating icy sections—be careful on the roads this weekend. Monday will be a little warmer and a lot brighter.
