Watch parties are being held at a number of pubs across Calgary for the Cavalry Sunday afternoon. Cavalry FC, fresh off winning the CPL Shield as the top team during the Canadian Premier League regular season, are in Laval to take on FC Supra FC du Quebec at 3 p.m. MST in the first of a home-and-home two-game aggregate showdown. While Cavalry finished the regular season 22 points ahead of FC Supra, October was a different story for both clubs. Cavalry stumbled on the road, winning just two of their past seven away games. FC Supra meanwhile made a late surge, coming from eight points out to qualify for a playoff spot. That included a 4-1 record under new head coach Kyt Selaidopoulos. Watch parties will be held downtown at the Ship and Anchor on 17 Avenue S.W. as well as at Elephant and Castle at 1503 4th Street S.W. There will also be a watch party in south Calgary at Kildares Ale House at 19369 Sheriff King Street.
