Police are investigating after a man was shot in southeast Calgary. Officials say the victim went to a home in Forest Lawn at 6:14 a.m. asking for help. Paramedics took the man to hospital in stable condition. A woman who lives in the area said she didn’t hear the shooting, but did hear something going on the night before involving a man she’s seen in the neighbourhood before. “He was looking for somebody in the alley,” Brandie, who only gave her first name, said. “There was another guy on a bike and he was fuming.” When she got up the next morning, she saw police in the area and knew something was wrong. Police now believe the man was shot in a residence in the 1400 block of 44 St. S.E., about two blocks away. He was seen leaving the house with a man and a woman who fled the scene before officers arrived, police said. Police say there have been no arrests, but it’s believe it was a targeted shooting and there is no public risk. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
