The Saddledome will be a little busier on Thursday as dozens of hockey players arrive to begin the first day of training camp for the 2026-27 season. The Calgary Flames’ camp roster consists of 52 players this year: six goalies, 16 defencemen and 30 forwards. The first on-ice session will include Team Red at 9 a.m., followed by Team Black at 11:30 a.m. The team is scheduled to play four pre-season games this year – two home and two away. The first pre-season game will be against the Seattle Kraken at 6 p.m. on Sept. 20. Full details of training camp can be found online.
