Two people were injured in a crash between a semi-truck and an SUV in Rocky View County on Monday. The crash happened in the intersection of Highways 564 and 9 just before 11 a.m. EMS say the driver of the SUV was transported to hospital in Calgary by STARS air ambulance in serious and potentially life-threatening condition. The second patient, a young child, was taken to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in stable condition. The driver of the semi wasn’t injured. Just two weeks ago, two Calgary women were killed and three other people were hospitalized following a collision in the same intersection.
