Alberta has the highest number of confirmed flu cases in a week since winter of 2009-10

The province continues to see a high number of flu cases.

Alberta recorded more than 2,700 lab-confirmed cases on the week of December 14. It’s the highest weekly total since at least the 2009-10 flu season.

Eight more Albertans have died of the flu.

Another 23, 000 people got flu shots and 20 per cent of Calgarians are vaccinated.
