More than a dozen Calgary eateries are featured on a new list of the Top 100 Restaurants in Canada for 2025. The list from online restaurant reservation site OpenTable, released on Thursday, draws upon the data from more than one million reviews from verified users across Canada between Sept. 1, 2024, and Aug. 31. OpenTable says of the 100 restaurants featured in this year’s list, 38 are new, including Dopo, which joined Calgary’s restaurant scene in mid-November last year. “This year’s Top 100 list isn’t just a celebration of excellence, it’s a showcase of Canada’s ever-evolving dining scene,” said Matt Davis, OpenTable Canada spokesperson. “We’re thrilled to spotlight the bold flavours and innovative talent shaping Canada’s culinary future.” Calgary’s top restaurants, according to OpenTable, include: Two spots in Banff also made the list: Lupo Italian Ristorante and Patio and The Bison Restaurant and Patio. Alberta had 19 eateries named in total, including two in Edmonton. Ontario has 44 restaurants on the list, Quebec has 18, British Columbia has 15, Nova Scotia has two, Saskatchewan has one and Newfoundland and Labrador has one.
