A record-breaking number of Calgary restaurants are offering up special fixed-price meals as part of the 2026 YYC Food and Drink Experience next month. The annual food festival features three-course prix fixe brunches and lunches for $30 or $40, three-course dinners for $40 or $50 and gourmet dinners – many of which are five courses - for $70 or $80. More than 115 restaurants will are participating in the event this year – more than ever before. There will also be a dozen exclusive and intimate chef-led culinary events. Officials say the festival celebrates Calgary’s dynamic and diverse culinary scene. “We have an incredibly exciting lineup this year, from collaborations with celebrity chefs to interactive cocktail classes and immersive themed dinners,” said spokesperson Irena Knorr in a news release. “These events are designed to give guests a truly memorable culinary experience, whether they’re looking to indulge in a once-in-a-lifetime evening or explore something new.” The festival is also partnering with eight downtown hotels to encourage stays and out-of-town visits. Guests who book participating hotel packages will receive a $100 Calgary Downtown Association gift card for use at dozens of venues. “The Stay & Dine hotel packages, paired with downtown Calgary gift cards, are a powerful way to encourage visitors to experience, stay and spend in the downtown core while celebrating our city’s culinary talent,” said Andrew Doudican, director of urban strategy for the Calgary Downtown Association. The 2026 YYC Food and Drink Experience runs from Friday, March 13 to Sunday, March 29.
