Here’s a look at just 10 of the many amazing things happening around the city:

Chinook Blast

• What: Chinook Blast returns! The event is a celebration of community, culture and civic pride featuring art, music, theatre, sport and recreation.
• When: Jan. 30 to Feb. 16, 2026.
• Where: Various venues throughout Calgary.

YYC Hot Chocolate Fest

• What: Dozens and dozens of specialty hot chocolates will be sold throughout Calgary in February as part of YYC Hot Chocolate Fest, a charitable competition that sees a portion of sales donated to Calgary Meals on Wheels.
• When: Until Feb. 28, 2026.
• Where: Various locations throughout Calgary.

Motorcycle and Powersports Show

• What: The Calgary Motorcycle and Powersports Show features bikes, gear and apparel, parts and accessories.
• When: Friday, Jan. 30 to Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.
• Where: BMO Centre, 1912 Flores Ladue Parade S.E.

Roughnecks vs. Rush

• What: The Calgary Roughnecks take on the Saskatchewan Rush in NLL action at the Saddledome. The game will feature Indigenous celebrations.
• When: 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026.

Flames vs. Sharks

• What: The Calgary Flames take on the San Jose Sharks.

The Offspring

• What: The Offspring perform at the Saddledome – with special guest Bad Religion – as part of the band’s Supercharged world tour.

The Wedding Fair

• What: Billed as the largest wedding expo in Alberta, The Wedding Fair takes place at the BMO Centre on Sunday, featuring fashion shows are 12 and 3 p.m.
• When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2026.
• Where: BMO Centre, 1912 Flores Ladue Parade S.E.

Hansel and Gretel

• What: Calgary Opera presents Hansel and Gretel. The opera, adapted by Engelbert Humperdinck, tells the classic Brothers Grimm story of two siblings who fall into the hands of a witch in the middle of a forest.
• When: Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, 2026.
• Where: Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, 1415 14 Ave. N.W.

Let it Be Beatles

• What: Jubilations Dinner Theatre Calgary presents Let it Be Beatles, a look at the Fab Four and their journey to becoming music superstars.
• When: Until March 21, 2026.

Sister Act

• What: Stage West Calgary presents Sister Act, based on the 1992 Whoopi Goldberg movie, about a woman who, after witnessing a murder, is relocated by police and disguised as a nun.
