Toyota is recalling more than 11,000 Camry vehicles in Canada because a display problem could cause turn signals, hazard lights and certain warning sounds to stop working at startup. The recall affects approximately 11,159 model year 2025-2026 Camry vehicles in Canada, Toyota said in a notice dated Aug. 6. The affected vehicles are equipped with a seven-inch combination metre that may become blank when the vehicle is started. “If certain required information is not displayed in the combination meter, if the turn signal/hazard lamps do not function, or if certain warning buzzers do not activate, there can be an increased risk of injury or a crash depending on the specific situation,” the notice reads. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified and asked to bring their vehicles to a Toyota dealership, where the software for the combination meter will be updated free of charge. Toyota says customers in Canada will be notified by early October. The automaker advises owners to check whether their vehicle is affected by entering its vehicle identification number into Toyota Canada’s online recall portal. The Canadian recall is part of a larger global recall involving about 655,000 Camrys. In the United States, more than 508,000 model year 2025-2026 Camry hybrids are affected.
