BOSTON - Boston University is forming a task force to study the "culture and climate" of its men's hockey team.

The move follows the arrest of two players -- including a Canadian -- on charges of assaulting female students this season.

University President Robert Brown says the formation of the task force does not reflect a judgment about the facts in the two cases.

But he says the charges raise questions about whether the team's culture has contributed in some way to the actions of the two players.

He adds the university will make changes if deficiencies are identified.

Twenty-one-year-old Corey Trivino of Toronto was arrested in December on indecent assault and battery charges.

He allegedly forced his way into a female student's dorm room, tried to kiss her and repeatedly groped her.

Earlier this week, junior defenceman Max Nicastro of California was charged with raping a female student.
