The Busby Centre Annual Streetlight Gala
The Busby Centre invites you to an unforgettable evening at its annual Streetlight Gala, where community, compassion and celebration come together in support of those who need it most. Guests will enjoy an exceptional dining experience featuring the winning menu from this year's Iron Chef champion, along with an inspiring keynote speaker, a silent auction, live entertainment and more.
"The Streetlight Gala is an incredible night of community, connection and impact for The Busby Centre. It brings people together who believe, as we do, that everybody is somebody, while raising vital funds to support people on their journey from homelessness to housing and stability. We're especially excited to welcome Brady Leavold as this year's guest speaker. His powerful story of lived experience, resilience and transformation will make this year's gala an unforgettable evening," said Sara Peddle, Executive Director, The Busby Centre.

Proceeds from the gala will directly support the Busby Centre's Social Service Hub, a critical resource that provides assistance to more than 200 people every day, both within the shelter and throughout the wider community. CTV Barrie, Pure Country 106 and Bounce 104.1 are proud to support the charity event.

Since its founding, the Busby Centre has remained committed to addressing the root causes of homelessness while offering a safe haven for those in need. A comprehensive approach includes emergency shelter, outreach programs, and long-term support services, helping individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and stability.

Sarah Freemark is the Senior Anchor of CTV News at 6 with CTV News Barrie, joining the station in 2022 after more than two decades in broadcasting.
Born and raised in Renfrew, Ontario, Sarah discovered her passion for storytelling at 16 as a volunteer reporter for her local cable station. Her career has included hosting the award-winning The Great Outdoors, co-hosting Education Without Borders in the United Arab Emirates, and producing and hosting the internationally award-winning documentary Eyes in the Darkness, which raised awareness about animal welfare and conservation.
Sarah is also an active supporter of community initiatives across Simcoe County. She regularly participates in charitable events and volunteers with the Ontario SPCA, educating young people about responsible pet ownership and compassion toward animals.
