A 69-year old man is facing accusations of driving while impaired, crashing his vehicle, and fleeing the scene. On Sunday, just before 5 p.m., members of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment arrived at a Tiny Beaches Road North business to investigate a vehicle that had been heavily damaged. Reports revealed that a duo had ran away from the area and ‘speared unsteady’. Officers patrolled the scene until they noticed two pedestrians matching the descriptions of the said suspects. As a result of the investigation, a Tiny Township resident was charged with operation while impaired, operation over 80 milligrams, failing to remain at a collision, and failing to report a collision. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the courts at a later date. officer say his vehicle was impounded for several days.
