A morning person caught sight of someone rifling through cars in the Gibbard Crescent area of Collingwood. Police were called at 5:30 a.m. Saturday to the scene, arrested a 35-year-old man and charged him with trespassing at night and theft. Following the initial arrest, discovered a vehicle in the area and identified the driver and passenger as people probably connected to the initial call for service. A 45-year-old Wasaga Beach man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was charged with failing to attend court and possession of cocaine. The accused was held for bail where he appeared before a judge to speak to his charges. Additionally, a 32-year-old Wasaga Beach woman was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while impaired. The vehicle was impounded for seven days; her driver’s license was suspended for 90 days. She was given a court date and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood.
