The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has taken over the investigation of a disturbance incident in Orangeville this week where an arrested suspect had to be hospitalized. According to Dufferin OPP, officers responded to a disturbance call at a home at around 4 p.m. Thursday. A suspect was arrested and taken to the Dufferin OPP detachment. Police say the suspect then needed medical attention while they were in custody and they were subsequently hospitalized. The OPP confirmed on Sunday that the SIU invoked its mandate to investigate the incident.
