Ontario Premier Doug Ford has announced changes to his cabinet. The biggest change for members in the region is the appointment of Brian Saunderson as Minister of Sport. The Simcoe-Grey member of provincial parliament joins cabinet for the first time this year. As a former Olympic rower, the premier’s office praised Saunderson’s understanding of sports and the role they play in the province’s economic and community development. All other local ministers and associate ministers have kept their roles but the shuffle will result a total of nine members taking on new portfolios.
