School bus cancellations and closures for Thurs., Jan. 22

Here are the latest school bus cancellations and closures around the region for Thurs., Jan. 22, 2026:

Trillium Lakelands

All school vehicles serving Zone 1, Zone 2 and Zone 3 schools under the Trillium Lakelands District School Board have been cancelled due to heavy snowfall, blowing snow and treacherous road conditions.

The cancellations affect transportation to all Zone 1 and Zone 2 schools, including St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School, Saint Mary’s Catholic Elementary School in Huntsville, and Monsignor Michael O’Leary Catholic Elementary School.

Bracebridge, Huntsville, Port Carling and Parry Sound all remain under a yellow snow squall warning, issued by Environment Canada.

The weather centre is advising of slippery road conditions and poor visibility due to blowing snow that could dump up to 50 centimetres of snow in parts of the region.

The severe winter weather is expected to continue through to Friday morning before another system moves in on the weekend.
