A motorcyclist punched an SUV driver at Barrie stop-light. The road-rage incident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. in the Essa Road and Mapleview Drive West area Sunday. Barrie police say a grey Audi SUV was driving northbound on Essa Road when it approached a slow-moving yellow and black motorcycle. The SUV driver honked and passed the biker. As the SUV approached Mapleview Drive West, the motorcyclist pulled up next to the driver’s window and assaulted him. The 46-year-old SUV driver was physically uninjured, and made a right turn onto Mapleview Drive West with the motorcycle following. Another interaction occurred at the intersection of Mapleview Drive West and Hollyholme Farm Road. Police say the motorcyclist is described as wearing a black full-face helmet, a dark leather jacket, and jeans. He was operating a retro-style bike with a yellow and black gas tank and a long, narrow emblem. Anyone with information about the incident or the motorcyclist is asked to call Barrie police.
