Emergency responders and OPP were called to a single motor vehicle crash on Mar Sideroad near Berford Park Road in South Bruce Peninsula shortly before noon Saturday. Police say a pickup truck had left the road and rolled into a ditch. There were three people in the pickup; one of whom was trapped. Emergency crews were able to extricate the trapped person and all three were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police closed Mar Sideroad for several hours as they investigated the scene of the crash. A 17-year-old youth from Elora was charged with: The teenager was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date. In addition, their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days. The identity of the accused is protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act and will not be released.
