A man who is now facing serious charges has connections to the Simcoe County area, police say. According to provincial police, an investigation into the matter began on Aug. 20. Northumberland OPP were made aware of incidents that happened at a tailoring business in Brighton, Ont. On Aug. 24, police arrested an employee of the business. A 53-year-old Cobourg man was charged in relation to that investigation. On Wednesday, police pressed additional charges against the man who now faces a total of eight criminal code offences, including four counts of sexual assault and four counts of voyeurism. Investigators say the accused has business connections to Orillia and Collingwood. As a result, they are asking anyone with information or anyone that may have experienced a similar incident to reach out to them. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
