Police in Barrie are investigating an alleged sexual assault in the overnight hours of New Year’s Day at a local motel. A Barrie police spokesperson confirmed to CTV News that it happened at 120 Donald Street, which is the address of the Barrie Motel. The call reportedly came in just after midnight. Police say there is not believed to be any risk to public safety and the investigation is ongoing. No other details were provided.
