Orangeville Fire Services’ are climbing to new heights with its new tower truck. Firefighters and town officials welcomed the new Tower 15 truck with a traditional push-in ceremony Wednesday. The ceremony is a fire service tradition that dates back to the days when firefighters pushed horse-drawn equipment into the station by hand. It symbolizes teamwork, pride and collective effort. The new aerial tower truck replaces the previous ladder truck (Ladder 15) and will support firefighters as they respond to emergencies in the Orangeville and area community. Firefighters also completed a ceremonial water transfer from the previous truck to the new one, recognizing the service of the outgoing vehicle.
