A $2 million home in the Blue Mountains is considered a ‘total loss’ after a fire on Saturday morning. Blue Mountains Fire Department says the call came in for a structure fire just after 4:30 a.m. in the area of Delphi Lane, across from Deer Lane, near Highway 26. No injures were reported as a result of the fire. Blue Mountain Fire and Provincial Police confirm that no one was home at the time of the blaze because the home was vacant as a result of construction. Five vehicles attended the scene and two firefighters were treated on scene for heat exhaustion. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Blue Mountains Fire Department says the fire is currently not being deemed suspicious. Meanwhile OPP says the fire is being treated as suspicious and the Ontario Fire Marshal will be on scene to investigate.
