Drivers may notice military convoys on highways this weekend as reservists head to training in Meaford. Members of 32 Canadian Brigade Group are travelling from Toronto to the Canadian Forces Base in Meaford on Friday night as part of exercise trillium venture. The training exercise will run through the weekend, focused at the base, where soldiers will practice responding to simulated domestic emergencies. Convoys will return to Toronto on Sunday afternoon along highway routes including 26 and 401. Officials say there are no weapons involved and no public training activities, but motorists are being asked to use caution if they encounter military vehicles on the road.
