The Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation (SMHF) announced on Friday that it received a $100,000 donation from the Nottawasaga Foundation to continue improving the hospital’s healthcare services. The SMHF says the contribution ‘proudly’ reaffirms the Nottawasaga Foundation’s commitment toward its $1 million pledge in supporting the SMHF’s ‘Because of YOU’ campaign. “Our continued support reflects our belief in the vital role Stevenson Memorial Hospital plays in our community,” said a representative from the Nottawasaga Foundation in a news release. “We are committed to helping the hospital achieve its goals, ensuring that residents have access to high-quality healthcare close to home.” “Thank you to the Nottawasaga Foundation and the Biffis Family for your unwavering support. Your dedication enables us to expand our hospital’s foot print and meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community,” said Frank Cerisano, CEO of SMHF, in the news release. “The ongoing generosity of the Nottawasaga Foundation and the Biffis Family reinforces our shared commitment to high-quality, accessible healthcare. Their leadership is the cornerstone of our efforts to serve our community now and into the future.” According to the SMHF, the ‘Because of YOU’ campaign is a crucial effort to raise $80 million to support the hospital’s expansion, which will see it triple in size. The expansion is set to provide enhanced emergency care, advanced diagnostic imaging, Stevenson Memorial’s first MRI suite, modern impatient facilities, and specialized surgical services.
