For a local hospice organization, donations will double in value thanks to the return of a fundraising campaign. Donations made to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation will be doubled, dollar for dollar, up to $19,500, thanks to local businesses participating in the Community Gift Match program. “Every day, we see firsthand how much compassionate hospice palliative care means to patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments,” says Sandra Sullivan, Executive Director, Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation, via a statement. The foundation names Barriston Law, Beach Hearing Ltd., Fawcett Funeral Home, Georgian Shores Dental, Happenings Party Rentals, Huronia Alarms, Kelly Financial, Kevin York Real Estate, Right at Home and Scenic Caves Nature Adventures as the businesses that have stepped up to match donations made by the community. “No matter the size, every donation makes a difference, and together, we can bring more comfort, kindness and support to our neighbours when they need it most,” says Sullivan. The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation says its Community Gift Match campaign runs for the entire month of November. The organization says its programs take place across the Town of the Blue Mountains, Collingwood, Clearview Township and Wasaga Beach and come at no cost to hospice patients.
