The Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS) is hosting its annual Kittypalooza adoption event this weekend from 11 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the GTHS Animal Centre in Collingwood. It’s a good time to get a great deal on an adorable kitten or cat with the lowest adoption fees of the year at: $150 for kittens, $100 for cats and $25 for special paws. All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, parasite treatment, I.D. microchip, and a health check by the GTHS veterinary team, ensuring pets are ready for their new homes. “More than ever, our Animal Centre is filled to the brim with a high volume of pets needing support,” says Karen Marsh, executive director of the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. “Through Kittypalooza, we hope to find loving homes for every kitten and cat. The adoption event will also help us free up critical space as more pets are coming in every day that require our care and attention, allowing us to continue our mission to provide compassionate care and safe refuge for animals.” The GTHS serves South Georgian Bay -- including Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Clearview Township, Meaford, Grey Highlands and The Town of the Blue Mountains -- through animal sheltering, adoption, community veterinary care, humane education, and access-to-care programs.
