Highway 11 crash involves transport truck and multiple vehicles: OPP

A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 11 southbound north of Barrie near Line 1.

A collision on Highway 11 involving at least five vehicles and a transport truck has reportedly sent one person to hospital with minor injuries.

Orillia Ontario Provincial Police said the collision happened on the southbound side of the highway north of Barrie near Line 1, forcing a lane closure.

With just one lane of traffic getting through, police are asking drivers to avoid the area and to not travel unnecessarily.

Police, emergency crews and tow trucks remain on scene.
