A grandfather from Bradford was out buying snacks for his grandchildren when he thought he’d throw in a lotto ticket as well, unknowingly purchasing the winning ticket. Bradley Stacey from Bradford said the customer ahead of him bought a poker lotto ticket, so he followed suit. The winners totaled $117,849.30. The poker lotto all-in jackpot was $112,849.30, but his luck kept going, and he won the instant portion of the lotto play, which was an additional $5,000. “I was in shock when I saw the winning message on the screen. It was a bit overwhelming, but I’m very happy—it was just unbelievable!” Doubled over with excitement, he had a hard time even finding the words when he went to call his wife to share the happy news, who was also in shock and disbelief, he says. What will he do with his winnings? Spread it out to those he loves most. “It empowers me to help out my family. I’m looking forward to helping out my loved ones.” The winning ticket was purchased at Sobeys on Melbourne Drive in Bradford.
